BAnthony put in one of his best qualifying results of the season as the Ohioan lined up on the grid in
fifth position with a 2:51.589 to show for his efforts. As the lights went out to signify the start of the
first race, Anthony got a decent jump into the first corner and immediately began to fight at the front
of a fierce battle for third position. He diced it up with Draik Beauchamp and Alex Dumas throughout
the first couple laps, hurriedly swapping positions back and forth as they fought the battle of the slipstream. The three of them rode at the front of a six rider group that attempted to sort out the final spot on the podium, but a jump start by Jackson Blackmon breathed new life into the battle as the top two contenders would end up in a podium position. Anthony remained towards the front of the scrap
all the way until the penultimate lap when he dropped back to fifth place, but he played his cards to perfection as he executed well timed overtakes on the last lap to move him into perfect slipstreaming position coming out of the last corner. He placed himself directly behind the tailpipe of Beauchamp
and popped out of the draft at just the right time, propelling him into second position to earn his best finish of the season. In the second race, Anthony was involved in an all-out war for fourth position that consisted of eight riders. He did his best to break away with the leading group on the opening lap, but he lost a position to Benjamin Smith and fell back into the clutches of the chasing pack as they tripped each other up over the course of the early laps. Anthony did his best to command the chasing group yet again, but he wasn’t able to position himself where he needed to be in the closing stages of the race. He fought near the front of the group for the majority of the seven laps, but narrowly lost out to Beauchamp and Alex Dumas at the checkered flag, forcing him to settle for sixth position.
