>> Jeremy Martin has been killing it this outdoor season. Third in points; Jeremy has consistently been in the front of the pack during the last four rounds of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. The 2-time 250 Pro Motocross Champion dominated last weekend at High Point going 2-1, taking the overall win. Heading to Buchanan Michigan for the centerpiece round of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship Jeremy was ready to take charge and win that title.
With the track in prime condition after getting some rain during the week leading up to the big race at Redbud; the Geico Honda rider qualified 4th with a 2.03 lap time. Jeremy came to Redbud to win and proved he wanted it with his qualifying times. Full gate and sun beating down, the 250 riders shot off the line and J. Martin pulled the Motosport. com holeshot. Zach Orborne came out second in the holeshot right behind Martin. The two riders battled it out for the first place position as they came around the first corner. With the clock ticking down Zach Osborne is nipping at Jeremy’s heels the entire raced. As Zach zones in on Jeremy, Jeremy picks it back up and pulls a small gap. 2 laps to go and Geico Honda rider is still in the lead. With just a couple corners to go Osborne closes in on Martin. Martin persists and holds off Zach as he finally crosses the finish line. Martin takes first place in moto one.
Moto number two. A great start and Jeremy Martin pulls the holeshot. Coming around the first corner Martin goes down losing the lead. Frustrated and in last place Jeremy gets to work in order to get to the front of the pack. Passing one rider after another Jeremy makes his way up to the top ten. Only a couple laps left and Jeremy makes two more passes into the eighth place as the checker flag comes out ending moto number two. Disappointed with his mistake in the beginning of the race Jeremy is still grateful to be on the podium with a 3rd overall finish.
