>> After a fifteenth place overall last weekend in Blountville, Tennessee, Justin Hill needed to bring it at Redbud and prove that he was a top ten contender. The rider out of Yoncalla, Oregon lined up for the first moto and the excitement of Redbud had to have been pumping through his veins
as the thirty-second card was lifted high in the Michigan sky. The Mon-
ster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki machine was off as the gates dropped. Unfortunately, Justin Hill quickly found himself enveloped in chaos and was starting the moto in the thirty-second place position. Justin Hill knew he had to ride smooth and smart if he wanted to start seizing spots and move for- ward. The number 46 machine began steadily gaining positions with each passing lap and by lap five he found himself in nineteenth place. With his head down and the finish line quickly approaching, Hill was able to capture two more spots before the checkered flag flew and finished the first moto
in seventeenth place. The second moto was nothing short of electrifying as two front-runners, Austin Forkner and Jeremy Martin went down in the first corner as they fought for the holeshot. This may have been tragic for them, but other riders were able to get the start that they so desperately needed as a result of their competitor’s mistakes. Justin Hill found himself in fourth place off the start, and was able to stay in that position until the halfway point of the moto when Osborne passed him and he fell into the fifth place spot. Justin Hill was able to hold onto his fifth place spot all the way to the checkered flag and definitely redeemed himself after his first moto results. With a 17-5, Hill left Redbud with an awesome twelfth place overall fin-
ish. Hopefully we can see more top five results out of Justin Hill during the remainder of this season.
