Wyman picked up right where he left off when the bikes hit the two and a half mile circuit at Road Atlanta. He looked comfortable from the get go aboard his YZF-R1 as he worked his way directly into Superpole for the second round in succession. The New Yorker remained fast and consistent throughout the Saturday morning session, eventually clocking the eighth fastest lap time by way of a 1:25.944, placing him on the third row of the grid. Wyman had no problem converting his speed on the qualifying tire into respectable race pace as he shot into the first corner just outside the top ten. The Yamaha rider found himself entrenched in a battle with the TOBC Racing Yamaha of Danny Eslick throughout the opening couple of laps, but it wasn’t long until he was able to dispose of the Oklahoman as he continued to move forward. Wyman had his sights set on the CBR1000 of Jake Gagne as the two of them played a game of cat and mouse until about one third of the full race distance. He decided to make his move and promoted himself to ninth place with a clear track ahead of him. Once Wyman forced his way past Gagne, it was a matter of turning consistent lap times and keeping the bike rubber-side-down. He kept the M4 ECSTAR Suzuki of Jake Lewis within his reach as he chased the Kentuckian lap by lap, but he wasn’t able to make any inroads and had to settle for ninth position. In the second race, Wyman was able to keep his Yamaha inside the top ten on the opening lap as he found himself battling for position with Jake Gagne yet again. He was able to take advantage of some misfortune further up the field as Mathew Scholtz retired to the pits and Bobby Fong crashed out of the race, therefore promoting him to seventh position. There was
a lot of action on the fourth lap as Wyman took advantage of some commotion in order to move past Jake Lewis into fifth position, clinging onto the tail-end of the leading group for as long as he could. He showed some exceptional speed, sustaining fast lap times throughout the course of the race as he held onto an uncontested fifth position all the way until the checkered flag.
