Prince made some solid improve-
ments in preparation for the second
round of the series at Road Atlanta
after obtaining one weekend of race
experience on the bigger bike.
The Yamaha rider came into the weekend with confidence on his side after finally being able to improve his feeling with the front end of the motor- cycle, putting him in a good position heading into the weekend. Although he wasn’t able to advance into the Superpole session, Prince was ninth fastest in the third practice session which was a good indication of his race pace as he continued to improve throughout the weekend. He man- aged to grab a decent start when the lights went out as he held his position throughout the opening lap, settling in behind the Suzuki of Hayden Gillim. Prince was able to force his way past the ‘man in a van with a plan’ and push his way into twelfth position.>>

Bryce Prince started the 2017 MotoAmerica season with a con- sistent run of form at the opening round of the series at Circuit of the Americas. The Californian de- cided to make the move from the 600cc machine after clinching the title in the Superstock 600 class in 2016, joining forces with the Meen Motorsports Yamaha team to contest the Superstock 1000 class. He adapted well to the bigger bike throughout the first couple of races after struggling throughout the weekend with front end feel, managing to stay off the ground as he marched to a sixth and seventh place finish in the class. >>
