and attempted to remount a charge, but his mangled motorcycle tossed him off again and he was forced to regroup for the second day of racing. He put in a solid performance in the first moto
of the 250 Pro class, starting within the top five and eventually finishing in eighth place. Markolf found himself in contention for a top five overall, but disaster struck in the second moto as he experienced an incredibly gnarly, downhill crash that sent him tumbling into the trackside fence. Fortunately, the KTM rider escaped any serious injuries, but he decided to sit out the remainder of the weekend and focus on coming into Loretta’s healthy and focused.
