>> Motorcycle racing as a whole is a game of innovation; who’s willing to bring new technique, jump further, and charge harder, than the competitor’s around you? And for Supercross in particu- lar, this rule of thumb is well greater than apparent. Our sport is riddled with microelements that each week rare their heads, and provide a certain athlete with a distinct edge, all while pushing the envelope further and further; Justin Hill is at the forefront of the cutting edge movement, and is eagerly searching to push week in and week out. Each jump he completed, polished. The bowl turns, cut with precise measurements, all the while dodging a traffic jam that could rival any given interstate at rush hour. With each lap passing, he would rally on the basis of his own will, and his me- chanic’s message that gleamed across the notorious white board that lunged from his team’s respective area. Although battling with the likes of Aaron Plessinger for what seemed like an entirety, his stamina was very impressive, and he continued to eye the next competitor that lay ahead of him; reeling off everyone from Jimmy Decotis to eventually Martin Davalos in the final moments, Hill was unsettled with an impressive runner-up finish; he would continue fight forward, almost reaching McElrath at the line, but would fall just a tad bit short. All in all, the second place was something to build off of, and Hill seems motivated to rally and be a true con- tender for the championship in the moments to come.
