>> The city of San Diego has been under great distress this past week, with their storied “San Diego Charger” franchise departing the city for neighboring Los Angeles. With fans in disbelief, dis- traught, and vulnerable, it seems as though the perfect time for the AMA Supercross series to roll into town and shed light on a city blanketed with darkness. And as we all know, with Aaron Plessing- er, anytime he contests the floor at a particular venue, the fans are in for a real treat. Tonight was no different, after fighting through the chaotic herd that bull-rushed into turn one, Plessinger, was forced to manual his way through each individual breaking bump, whoop section, and even rhythm lane he contested. His special- ized technique of landing about a half bike-length long through the timing sections, allowed him to stay compressed and chip away
at the rest of the field. Chasing Justin Hill, Plessinger was adapt- ing a pace to catch rookie Austin Forkner, and prepare to take
aim towards the rest of the field. Following a crash from Reardon, Plessinger inherited the sixth position; and almost lost the wheel making a dive bomb effort on Forkner. The GNCC veteran would bring out all of his tricks from his bag, and finagle his way around guys like the notorious Jimmy D. It almost seemed as though he lassoed the number 46 and would keep within an arm’s reach until race end. With a fading Martin Davalos insight, Plessinger would make a forceful dive on the number 30, and take the final podium spot as the field crossed the checkers.
