>> Chad Reed had a rough start to the 2017 Supercross season. After colliding with Weston Peick twice in the main event at Ana- heim 1 he was forced to sit out the rest of the race due to a broken water pump on his bike. Looking for some redemption coming into round two, the Yamaha rider was looking for a strong night colli- sion free. Looking to not race any extra races Chad Reed qualified directly into the main even getting a fourth place in his heat race. The main event went pretty smooth for the seasoned rider. He got a decent start that put him into the center of all the chaos of racing. Looking to only move forward from his start Reed charged through the crowd and moved himself into tenth place. The Yamaha Factory racing rider was keeping his eyes on the prize while he followed closely to the riders front of him. A few minutes into the race he was able to move pass Dean Wilson and put himself into ninth. All the riders surrounding him were very close, but Reed held his ground. Keeping his spot within the top ten Chad Reed finished round two with a ninth overall. A huge step up from last week, gaining some points within the championship.
