>> The new rider for Venex MX has made himself known these first couple races in the East SX series. Each race he has earned a top ten position. After a hard fought battle in Toronto A-Rod was ready to take top ten yet again at the Daytona International Speed- way. Sitting comfortably 8th on the line Rodriguez was eager to race in heat 2 of the night. Launching like a rocket, Rodriguez comes out of the gate mid pack. Battling in 8th, Rodriguez charges on to take down Short. Making the pass the MTF rider holds onto seventh as he chases down Renzland. Checkered flag and A-Rod stays in his seventh position, earning a ticket to the main event. After battling hard in his heat race, Anthony takes the 13th gate in the main event at Daytona. Thirty second board drops and A-Rod throws the hammer down. Not giving in, he holds his place off the line and stays in 13th going into lap number 2 of 15. Battling with both Wentland and Renzland for 13th, Anthony falls into 14th as Renzland makes the pass on him. Craig chases down A-Rod. An- thony can only hold Christian Craig off for so long until he makes the pass into 13th. Only falling back one place Rodriguez is only one second off of Craig’s time. Rodriguez gains a spot as Jerry Robin falls back and then he makes the pass on Christian Craig. Checkered is out and Rodriguez earns a well fought 12th place. Not where A-Rod wanted to be, but the young rider is persistent and will press on to next weeks’ race.
