>> Can you imagine the excitement of making your first ever Main Event on the toughest supercross track of the whole entire season? Well, Kyle Swanson sure can tell you all about that incredible feeling. The Team PR-MX.CA/Strikt/Pelletier Kawasaki rider put on an excel- lent ride in Daytona. The number 313 found himself in the second heat where he finished in a solid thirteenth place. Now, Swanson could’ve been content with the thirteenth place finish and just shrugged his shoulders in the Last Chance Qualifier, but the rider out of Adkins, Texas was ready to fight. After the LCQ gates dropped, Kyle found himself in the front of the pack and we all saw the fire burning within him trying to hold onto a top four transfer position. After a great ride, Kyle Swanson crossed the finish line in fourth place and the emotion was clear amongst Swanson and his team. He had proved that he was ready and worthy to battle amongst the other twenty-one top competi- tors of the night.
I’m sure nerves were present as Swanson lined up for the Main Event, he did not let them get the best of him though. For his first time in the Main, he put together a solid ride and consistently pounded in laps on some treacherous terrain and was able to finish the moto in twenty-first place. With some newly found confidence in his corner, I hope to see Kyle Swanson make more mains this season because we all know that he’s definitely capable.
