>> The state of Florida is known for it’s theme parks, and what a rollercoaster ride of a night it was for Yamalube/Star Racing Yamaha rider Mitchell Harrison in sandy Daytona. The Tallahassee, Florida rider lined up for heat two ready to show everyone that he could make that deep Florida sand look easy. The gate dropped and the confi- dence shining from within the number 45 was clear as he put in a very impressive ride and crossed the finish line in the third place position behind Christian Craig in second. Mitchell Harrison was comfortably and boldly heading directly to the Main Event.
After a strong eleventh place finish last weekend in Toronto and a third place heat race finish already under his belt tonight, Mitch- ell Harrison was ready show us all what he is capable of in Daytona as he pulled up to the gate for the Main. Off to a great start, Harrison found himself in the tenth place spot early on. By lap five, Mitchell fell back to fifteenth. He was able to persevere and move up to thirteenth by the middle of the race, but unfortunately was faced with some adversity towards the end of a grueling moto. Mitchell Harrison started on a high note, but sadly found himself ending the evening in the twenty-second position. Hopefully Harrison can use the fuel that he had in heat race two earlier in the evening next weekend in Indy. He has definitely proved that he has what it takes.
