Pierce Brown established himself as one of the top contenders in the B class at the end of 2017, clinching four titles at Mini-O’s as well as a second place overall at the Monster Energy Cup. The Orange Brigade backed KTM rider put himself at the forefront of the B class yet again in the early action at Angels Stadium of Anaheim, flowing out front in practice. He kept the momentum rolling in his heat races, winning all three as stellar starts put him in a position for success. Brown wasn’t able to keep his undefeated streak alive come main event time, but the Utah native managed to win two out of three races. He outshined the com- petition in the Schoolboy 2 class as well as the Open B class, but some bad luck on the first lap forced him back to a fourth place finish in 250 B.
