After making his debut on the 250 at the Ryan Villopoto Amateur Motocross Cup, Carson Mumford was ready to showcase his skills on the big stage in Angels Stadium of Anaheim. The Californian managed two second place overall finishes at the RV Cup and he was eager to prove his speed on the 250 against some deep competition in the B class. Mumford looked comfortable on the track in practice and continued that same form in his heat races, finishing all three of them on the podium with a win to boot. The Team Dunlop Elite alum had some poor luck in the 250 B main event, but he was able to bounce back in Schoolboy 2 as well as Amateur All-Star, earning third and first place finishes, respectively. Mumford will undoubtedly be hunting down some titles in 2018 as he’s already looking mighty comfortable on the 250.
