Cooper Webb entered the two-week break fired up after the drama between he and Savatgy in the second moto so it is safe to say he wanted to come out swinging at Unadilla. He qualified with the fifth fastest lap time but was just a half second behind the pole position. He was more than ready to extend his
points lead. Webb put his Star Racing Yamaha in prime position on the restart of moto one. He railed out of the first corner in second place and locked in behind early leader Adam Cianciarulo. He shadowed the Monster Energy Kawasaki rider for the entire first half of the moto when he finally decided to pull the trigger and make the pass. From there Webb slowly build a comfortable cushion en route to the moto win.
