JUSTIN BRAYTON
It has been 12 years since the Fort Dodge, IA rider of Justin Brayton has been in the profes- sional circuit. Brayton elected to race aren- across in his first year professional and had a magnificent run, finish- ing 4th overall in the
series. The young rider did well in arenacross but his dream was to compete in the ama supercross series among the best riders in the world. Unfortunately a leg injury kept him off the track in 2005, but was able to compete in the 250 west coast series in 2006, finishing 12th overall. It wasn’t until the 2008 and 2009 where Justin Brayton was really starting to find his groove in supercross and was able to garnish podium results. It
was time for Brayton to move up to the 450 class and JGR (Joe Gibbs Racing) offered him a contract for the year to ride their Yamaha machines. The relationship between
both JGR and Brayton grew strong and the two stayed together for a number of years before the #10 was offered
a deal by Factory Honda. At this moment all of Justin’s dreams became a reality, he has proved that he can get the results and he was on his favourite team of all time. It wasn’t the best year for either Honda or Brayton and his 1 year contract was up. Eventu- ally BTO Sports KTM picked him up and the two have been working well together since. Brayton is a well rounded rider but seems to be more
of a contender on the indoor tracks, the first supercross race at Angel Stadium is ap- proaching fast, keep an eye out for the #10.
