Will the real Aaron Plessinger please stand up. This Unadilla track matches Aarons style perfectly and he proved it this weekend by putting in his best results of the season. AP was probably relieved that the first race of the day got red flagged because he was well outside of the top 10 after lap 1. The second start was actually worse as he got hung up behind a downed riders on the first lap and he was outside of the
top 15 after the first lap was complete. He was just reaching the top 10 a third of the way through the race and then he seemed to have hit another level. With 8 minutes + 2 laps remaining Pless was in 6th and was far behind the rest of the competition. The #23 put his head down and continued to charge, he was setting lap times 5 seconds faster than leader Cooper Webb and had moved up to third with 3-4 laps remaining. He even made the move on early championship points leader Joey Savatgy, but the Pro Circuit rider seemed to pick his level up also and made the pass back with just over a lap left, Aaron finished 3rd. Plessinger finally got that illusive top five start in the second moto but wasn’t able to put down the laps he did in the first race and settled for 3rd. 3-3 moto scores gave Aaron second overall on the day. Nice to see you back AP.
