ARNAUD TONUS
The Swiss rider of Arnaud Tonus raced the MXGP circuit for most of his career aboard the CLS Monster
Energy Kawasaki team in the mx2 division (250 class/ lites class). Tonus had many good showings while
racing the circuit but it wasn’t until 2014 where he really shocked the world and was a title contender. The #200 seemed to be “the rider” to match or even surpass the speed and ability of “The Bullet” Jeffrey Herlins. The red plate was handed to Arnaud after the Grand Prix in Brazil and it was the first time he was the points leader in his career. Unfortunately he didn’t win the title in 2014 but maybe he was gifted something much more impressive and more important for the Swiss. Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki of America kept a close eye on Tonus through his 2014 campaign and offered him a 2 year contract for the years of 2015 and 2016, a dream come true for Arnaud. Injuries and illness has stopped the foreign rider from showing his true potential but as each round goes on this 2016 season he continues to improve and grow stronger. Rumours are that he wont be returning to the team for 2017 but most likely will stay in the AMA circuit.
