LUKE FAUSER
Luke Fauser made a mark in the young- er of the 65cc divisions last year at the Daytona RCSX, finishing second in the (7-9) class, and this year the Pennsyl- vanian made the return to the legendary speedway. Fauser has since matured
in the 65cc divisions and entered the (10-11) and (7-11) class, impressing on both fronts. The Orange Brigade backed rider collected a total of three top three finishes from both classes, including a victory in the (10-11) heat race. In ad- dition to his efforts on the smaller bike, Fauser also earned a third place in the 85cc (9-11) heat race, proving his prow- ess in both classes. Following Daytona, he moved onto the JS7 Freestone Spring Championship the very next week and continued to battle at the front of the various classes that he entered. The young rider out of Pennsylvania’s best overall performance took place in the 65cc (10-11) Limited class, combin- ing a fourth and fifth place result to earn himself fourth overall. He had flashes of brilliance in some of his other motos as well, bagging a third in the 65cc (7-11) class and a fifth in the 85cc (9-10) Lim- ited division, proving that he’ll be a force to be reckoned with throughout 2018.
KADE JOHNSON
After joining the coveted Team Dunlop Elite program and signing a fresh deal with Rock River Yamaha team towards the end of the 2017 season, Kade John- son was slated for a breakout year in 2018. The Texas native got off to a good start at the Daytona RCSX this year, earning a total of four top three finishes at the world renowned speedway. Johnson excelled on his 65cc Husqvarna machine throughout the weekend, winning the (10-11) class in comfortable fashion. The Team Dunlop Elite rider continued his
run of good form after making the trip
to his home state of Texas for Spring A Ding Ding, finishing every single one of his motos within the top five. Johnson landed on the overall podium in each
and everyone of his classes, scoring a third and two second place finishes as he established himself as one of the most talented riders in a jam packed division. Although he faced a little bit more adver- sity at the JS7 Freestone Spring Champi- onship, Johnson’s speed and consistency still landed him on the podium in two of the 65cc classes, completing an excep- tional strand of results for the Yamaha backed youngster throughout the month of March.
