CROCKETT MYERS
Crockett Myers has quickly began to make a dent in the Supermini class throughout the 2018 season, proving himself to be one of the top racers in a seemingly infinite pool of talent. The Su- zuki rider came away from the Daytona RCSX with a little more to be desired from his results, but he still managed
to score a third place in his Supermini
1 heat race, subsequently amounting
to a fourth place overall in the class.
He ramped things up at the inaugural Spring A Ding Ding in Texas a couple
of days later, but a DNF in the opening Supermini 2 moto would ultimately spoil his chances of standing on the overall podium. Nonetheless, Myers put the DNF behind him and went out to earn a second place finish in the second moto, sending a message to his competitors prior to Freestone. The Team Dunlop Elite rider showed consistent results at the JS7 Spring Championship, earning a duo of third place finishes in both Su- permini classes. Myers narrowly missed out on the overall podium yet again,
but he still managed to score a fourth place overall in the Supermini 2 division against some of the fastest mini riders in the nation.
HUNTER YODER
After coming off of a leg injury only a couple of months ago at Mini O’s, it would be safe to assume that Hunter Yoder would need some time to get back into the swing of things. At the Daytona RCSX at the beginning of March, the Californian set out to prove that he’s already ready to battle at the top of his class by clinching the victory in his Supermini 1 heat race. Although he pulled a stellar holeshot and displayed incredible speed in that first moto, he wasn’t able to put it together
for the remainder of the weekend. Yoder moved onto Spring A Ding Ding a couple of days later at Underground MX and began to find a rhythm, earning two third place finishes to start the weekend. At
the start of his second Supermini 1 moto, the Honda rider went down on the start and it completely stifled his momentum, forcing him to regroup for Freestone. The Team Dunlop Elite rider showed up to the JS7 Spring Championship battered and bruised from his battle scars the week- end before, but he pushed through the adversity and grinded out a couple of top ten finishes nonetheless.
