After a fun week of celebrating his second 450 outdoor championship, Ken Roczen approached the Ironman National no different than any other round. He was looking for another win that would put the cherry on top of his 2016 motocross season. He qualified sixth through the mud and was ready for the last two gate drops of the year.
Roczen rocketed out of the gate in the first moto securing the holeshot and the early lead. And as you would expect, the rest is history. Barcia actually managed to keep Roczen in check for the first half
of the moto but the lead was never in serious question. Roczen rode a flawless moto en route to his nineteenth moto win of the year.
