The second moto started with Roczen right behind holeshot winner Andrew Short (in his final race!) and Justin Barcia. Then staying true to what he has done all year, Roczen took the lead in the blink of an eye and built up a sizable gap en route to his twentieth moto win of the year. This time Barcia was not even close with Roczen stretching it to a high of thirty-seven seconds. It was a storybook ending to a near perfect 2016 outdoor campaign for the still young German rider. Now after another champi- onship, all eyes will be on his camp as we enter the ‘silly’ season of our sport to see if he will indeed switch teams and join HRC for 2017 and beyond.
