Osborne then got around rookie Bradley Taft to hit 11th and started closing the gap on the 10th place rider. Stuck in 11th, a couple bad lap times brought RJ right up to the rear wheel and eventually by the #16 of Os- borne with one lap to go. Somehow, with less than a lap, the Husqvarna worked his way back around RJ and
finished in a well-deserved 11th place. Strangely, as the second moto began, no one knew where Zach had faltered but the Virginia native began the race outside the top thirty. Forced to battle himself back the entire duration of the moto. Dicing through the field to finish 15th by time the flag was waved, bouncing back for a 13th overall performance. A somewhat dismal result following his first profes- sional outdoor victory but the Veteran held his head high knowing that there is always next year. 2017 could see even bigger things from the often unlucky Osborne, only time will tell yet the odds seem to be in his favor.
