Another top 20 start is just what the doctor ordered, placing Noah in 18th across timing and scoring for
the first few minutes of play. The soil of Indiana was a long way from his native, slick surface of Washou-
gal, and the young man was having a little bit of trouble conquering the hazardous intersections of lines. Each lap, he would fall back just a little more than the previous, pushing him deep into the field. With the crossing of the flags near the 15 minute mark, McConahy was unfortunately in one of his worst spots of the year, a disappointing 36th. Holding true to his mighty, privateer spirit, he marched forward, asserting his presence as he climbed past each competitor that was in front of him. After a depletion of tearoffs, and mud filled helmet muzzle, Noah had rallied his way back to the 24th position by race end. A 16th place start was something he was willing to work with, as the gate dropped for the final time in 2016. McConahy knew that this time next week, he would be able to relax, and his best effort should be given now. It was apparent, as he smacked through the gearbox and bounced off the rev limiter with ever ounce of energy he had. Duking it out with riders such as Cade Clason and Ryan Sipes, the company brought out the best in him. Up to 17th with seven minutes to go, McConahy and team rallied together, with the end of the season approaching quickly. As he left it all on the line, the Washingon native would go on to finish a respect- able 16th and 18th overall.
