IMAGES / LAKE KILPATRICK Harrison was fast as the bikes hit the muddy track in Indiana on Saturday morning. He was top ten early on
and looked to be comfy in the conditions. His time was eventually shuffled back to 13th and he was ready to end his rookie season on a high note. When the gate dropped for the first moto, Mitchell got a great start and was running well inside the top ten early on. He then was caught by both teammates, Webb and Plessinger, as they jumped passed him on the big triple step up. He was now running 9th place as they made their way passed the halfway point. Mitchell then lost one more position and was doing everything he could to hang on to the top ten with three laps to go. He was able to get it done and looked forward to the last moto of the year. When the gate dropped for this one, Mitchell got off to a similar start and found himself right in the battle with his teammates. He was running 7th as the first half of the moto was running down. As they began the second half, Mitchell began to feel pressure from Oldenburg and eventually handed over the position. Suddenly, he got a lucky break where a couple of riders made some mistakes and Mitchell was able to slide into the 6th position. Mitchell would hold on to take 6th which was good enough for 7th overall on the day, the best finish of his short career so far.
