>> The number 241, Dax Bennick, showed what he was all about in a
65 (10-11) class that was stacked with raw talent at this year’s Lucas Oil Junior Moto X Indoor Amateur Championship. The Morgantown, North Carolina native confidently lined up with a great gate pick for the Main Event after an impressive heat race win. Gates dropped and Dax Bennick immediately found himself in the number one spot. Lap after lap, Bennick chose lines wisely and kept flowing on his KTM machine. With a heated battle between Illinois’ Krystian Janek on the number 27 and California’s Noah Viney on the number 43 happening behind him, Dax Bennick kept
a comfortable lead all the way to the checkered flag. With eye-catching bright pink and purple Troy Lee gear, Dax Bennick held on tight to his Fox Holeshot award as well as his well-deserved first place Junior Moto X championship trophy while on the podium. When asked how he pulled off such an awesome moto win, Bennick answered simply and honestly by stating, “I just have fun” These are definitely words to live by. Dax Bennick also grabbed a win in the 65 (7-11) class and a solid fourth place finish in the 85 (9-11) class. Dax Bennick was able to triumphantly leave Oklahoma Saturday night. Bennick will be one to watch during the rest of the amateur racing season.
