>> Little Larry Reyes Jr. out of Houston, Texas proved that he was a force
to be reckoned with this year at the Lucas Oil Junior Moto X Indoor Amateur Championship. The 12 to 14 year olds lined up for what was bound to be an exciting race. Like a swarm of bees, fourteen of some of the most talented 85 rippers went buzzing into the first turn. Larry grabbed his second Fox Holeshot Award of the evening and the race was on. Larry Reyes Jr., on the number 552 Husqvarna machine, was out front but he had company. Joshua Varize on the number 24 KTM was definitely putting the pressure on Reyes. Lap after lap, conquering deep ruts and feet flying off of the foot pegs, Larry Reyes Jr. held on. What an amazing battle all the way to the end for these two minis, but it was Larry Reyes Jr. in the chrome helmet and checkered flag Seven gear fly- ing past the checkered flag with the win. California’s Joshua Varize in second and Kansas’ Kaeden Amerine in third joined Larry on the podium. Larry Reyes Jr. shared some wisdom while holding onto his shiny new first place trophy “push no matter what and go for it.” A well deserved victory for the number 552. Larry stayed busy in Lazy E Arena and also grabbed a seventh in Supermini 1, a fifth in Supermini 2, and a sixth in the Jesse Cup. It was a successful evening in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for Larry Reyes Jr. He will definitely be one to watch during the rest of the season.
