>> Dean Wilson has had a year full of highs and lows, between get-
ting a factory Rockstar Energy Husqvarna ride but still having to fight his way into that top ten. Really struggling with getting good starts the #15 is really put in the seat time and work to get himself on that po- dium. Qualifying into the night with the fourth fastest lap time it was shaping up to be one of Deano’s best nights. The heat race wasn’t the smoothest for the number 15 of Dean Wilson sitting back around ninth place through the first turn. He worked his way up to fifth place, bat- tling Weimer for the last transfer spot. Unable to make the cut Dean Wilson was sent to a semi to battle it out for a main event transfer spot. The start of the semi went a little smoother for the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider getting a good jump to the first turn sitting around sixth place. Sitting one position out of a transfer spot Wilson threw down
and made his way into in third by the second lap. Holding onto his third place spot until the finish Wilson was off to the main event in the chilly Toronto conditions. The young rider got a decent start in the main event running around tenth through the first turn. After Dungey passed him he was faced with the challenge of chasing down the heavy hitter of Marvin Musquin. After making the pass into ninth Wilson eventually began bat- tling with the rookie Malcom Stewart, holding onto the pass he slid into eighth place. The next rider he had to chase down was Cole Seely who was riding the tough track conditions well. Looking for every opportunity he could, Wilson was fighting hard trying to find an opening to move into seventh place. As chaos ensued in front of him Wilson kept his focus on holding down eighth place all the way to the finish. It was one of the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider’s best finish of the season and hold- ing onto seventh in place, Deano is making his way forward each round.
