>> The Yamaha duo of Shane Donlon and Mason Meyer used the power of their 250cc rocket ships and got out to
an early lead in the opening stages of the moto. The South Carolina native of Donlon put the hammer down on the second lap as he broke away from the rest of the pack dra- matically and began to ride his own race at the front of the field. The Triangle Cycles backed Yamaha rider turned two freakishly consistent lap times in the middle of the moto, the 3rd lap being the fastest of the race. He cruised to the finish line with an air of comfortability as he greeted the white flag completely unchallenged by any of his rivals. Donlon took the checkered flag as he crossed the line with a lonesome vic- tory that would fill him with confidence heading into the final moto. Donlon was never challenged at any point in the race as he finished with practically a 15 second gap ahead of the Pennsylvania native of Mason Meyer in 2nd. He will attempt to carry the acquired confidence into the second moto when he lines up on the gate come Saturday.
