>> John Grewe and Barry Carsten continued their streak of exceptional starts throughout the week of racing and the two of them started out front at the beginning of the first Masters 50+ moto. Carsten was able to keep in touch with Grewe for as long as the opening lap, but Grewe took the green flag
at the finish line as invitation to build a gap. Despite his best efforts, the gap remained rather stagnant over the course of the following lap. Carsten was putting in one of his rides of the weekend to keep Grewe honest at the opening stages of the moto. At the midway point of the race, the Babbits Ka- wasaki rider of Grewe was determined to find his flow and he slowly inched away from the second placed Carsten as the duo took the white flag to start the final lap. It was an- other trademark performance from Grewe as he continued to improve his pace throughout the latter stages of the moto, eventually securing the victory ahead of Carsten.
