>> Katie Benson grabbed the early advantage ahead of Maggie Gerrits and Jordan Jarvis, avoiding a first turn crash in the process. Benson did her best to put some time into her pursuers on the opening lap, pushing her KTM to the abso- lute limit. Jarvis was able to work her way around Gerrits and into 2nd position. She put the hammer down and attempted to close in on Benson in the lead, but things were made easy for her as Benson went down right in front of the announc- ers tower. Valentina Galaz had also worked her way onto the podium as the both of them moved into the top spots, imme- diately getting away at the front of the pack. Galaz was able to keep Jarvis in check for a lap or so, but Jarvis’ had too much pace as she soared to the victory and a championship in the process. She swept the class with a pair of 1st place finishes, looking incredibly dominant throughout the weekend of racing.
