>> The Florida native of Evan Ferry shot out to an early moto lead ahead of Team Green Kawasaki’s Krystian Janik and the young Texan of Collin Allen. Ferry built an impres- sive advantage across the span of the opening lap as he crossed the stripe with a 2.5 second gap over Janik the first time around. Meanwhile, Justin Allen was working his way through the pack after a mediocre start; the young rider out of New Hampshire stormed through the field, making up 3 positions over the course of the second lap and completing a Kawasaki 1-2-3. As Ferry continued to get away at the front of the field, Allen reeled in Janik on the penultimate lap and put himself into 2nd place. He set the fastest lap in the pro- cess, but Ferry had already disappeared into the distance, taking the checkered flag in a fairly lonely first place as he secured the heat race victory ahead of Allen and Janik.
