>> The third heat was a fairly processional affair as the Team Green Kawasaki of Nicholas Romano sprung out to an early lead ahead of Caden Braswell and Marcello Leodorico. The New York native at the front of the field put in couple of heat- ers on the first bunch of laps in order to build an advantage of about 1.5 seconds ahead of the Husqvarna of Braswell. Meanwhile, the most hotly contested battle on the track took place between Leodorico and Nikko Capps for 3rd place. Capps was able to work his way around Leodorico on the second lap as the KTM rider made a small mistake. The battle at the front was closing up as the race began to wind down; Braswell showed better late race pace as he closed the gap to Romano on the final lap. He was able to work the gap down to half a second, but he ran out of time and Roma- no took the heat race victory. Meanwhile, Leodorico forced his way back around Capps at the last breath of the moto.
