>> Challen Tennant and Sean Cantrell put on a repeat perfor- mance of practically every other moto from the entire week as
the pair of them sped off to an early lead and began to check out. Jordan Bailey finally pulled a decent start as he sat in 3rd posi-
tion on his Rockstar Husqvarna ahead of EBR Yamaha’s Ramyller Alves. Tennant seemed to have a slight edge over the TLD KTM of Cantrell early on, but it would be incredibly difficult to build a com- fortable gap as the two have been evenly matched all week long. The Star Racing Yamaha rider continued to add to his lead little by little, but disaster struck with a couple of laps to go as the bike gre- naded just after the whoops section. Therefore, Cantrell took over the lead with an unobstructed run at the victory with Jordan Bai- ley and Ramyller Alves rounding out the podium. But, the podium wasn’t safe as the charging New York native of Justin Cooper was fighting his way back from a poor start. Cooper worked his way up from 8th place on the opening lap and was able to sneak his way around Alves with only a couple of laps to go. Bailey held onto 2nd position, but the charge from the Cycletrader/Rock River rider was enough to put him in position to take the overall. Cantrell put in a last lap performance full of composure and calculation as he ap- proached the finish line by riding the rear wheel all the way up over the crest. He celebrated his victory with a continuous wheelie down the start straight as he was able to make amends for the DNF he scored in the first moto. Cooper took the championship ahead of Bailey by just one point ahead of Alves in 3rd.
