>> Matthew LeBlanc blasted out to the holeshot aboard his KTM rocket ship ahead of Nicholas Romano and Wyatt Matt- son. Mattson was able to force his Husqvarna machine in front of the Team Green Kawasaki of Romano on the open- ing lap as he attempted to stay in touch with the Louisiana native at the front of the pack. The top three began to spread out over the span of the first couple laps as LeBlanc laid down a fiery pace in the lead. The Orange Brigade backed rider stretched the lead out to approximately 4 seconds with only a couple of laps to go. Meanwhile, Romano and Mattson went at it for second place as the Kawasaki rider was able to take advantage of a split section in order to advance to 2nd position. Consequently, the New York native had secured 2nd position on the overall podium with the overtake. LeB- lanc cruised to the finish line in sensational style as he took the checkered flag and sent the jump with one foot dangling off the peg. The Louisiana native took another champion- ship and another moto win to cap off a nearly perfect week at the 45th annual Thor Winter Olympics. Romano and Caden Braswell followed his lead on the overall podium.
