>> Derek Hopkins put his Kawasaki out in the lead early as he pulled the holeshot ahead of Ricardo Garcia and Blake Bryan. Hunter Schlosser stormed into the lead as he was able to recover from an average start and salvage his cham- pionship aspirations. Schlosser was able to create a slight advantage on his Honda ahead of Garcia and Hopkins. Not long afterward, Brandon Yates forced his Suzuki into a podi- um position as he made his way past Hopkins on the penul- timate lap. Schlosser took the white flag over the finish line jump with approximately a 6 second gap ahead of his rivals. He had built a large enough gap that he was able to cruise home to the victory, fist pumping with elation over the finish line as he wrapped up the championship. The overall podium was rounded out by Brandon Yates and Ricardo Garcia.
