>> Garrett Marchbanks and Lance Kobusch got out of the gate in tandem as the two Team Green machines made it a Kawasaki 1-2 headed into the gator pit. Kobusch found his way into 1st on the back section of the track as he emerged in the lead coming back into the spectators section. March- banks was pushing the envelope in order to stick to the rear fender of Kobusch, and he almost lost the rear end coming down into the gator pit as it swapped violently sideways. Meanwhile, the battle for 3rd place was an all Yamaha affair as Dylan Greer and Austin Winslow attempted to determine the final spot on the podium. Marchbanks and Kobusch
both won their heat races, so whomever took the advantage between the two of them would be the overall winner and champion of the class. Marchbanks was able to make the move before the whoops section and promote himself to the lead on the penultimate lap, attempting to stretch out a gap on the final lap. The Utah native seemed to have a little bit more late race pace as he pulled the pin on the last lap and took the checkered flag just half a second ahead of Kobusch. The Missouri native ended up with 2nd overall followed by Austin Winslow in 3rd.
