>> Garrett Edmisten took the holeshot ahead of his fellow Kawasaki pilot of Brad Smith with Casey Clark closely in tow. The 2nd and 3rd placed riders were able to make their way around the leader on the opening lap as Smith moved swiftly into the lead. He immediately dropped the hammer as he built up a 6 second advantage over the course of the first flying lap. Clark circulated in a fairly lonely 2nd position as the battle for the final spot on the podium tightened up be- hind him. The Kawasaki of Gregory Pamart and the Suzuki of Michael Stevenson prepared to do battle for the last avail- able podium position, the two of them pushing each other from one side of the track to the other. Smith crossed the fin- ish line with approximately an 11 second gap ahead of Clark as they began the last last lap, setting him up for a ‘Sunday cruise’ to the checkered flag as he wrapped up the overall victory ahead of Clark in 2nd and Stevenson in 3rd.
