>> The California native of Antonio Calavano grabbed the early advantage ahead of the Honda rider of Cole Tompkins as the pack of 250 C riders filled the rolling hills of the famed Gatorback course. The front runners remained within close contention of one another as the battle for the final podium spot began to heat up between Ricardo Garcia and Brandon Yates. Calavano and Tompkins swapped places at the front of the field as the two of them flew over the Gizmo Mods tabletop side-by-side coming into the spectators section of the course. The Yamaha rider of Calvano was looking ag- gressive in his body language as he attempted to stretch out an advantage over Tompkins. Calavano took 1st place in his respective heat race which put him in the perfect position to snag the overall victory in dominant fashion with yet another victory. The GPF supported rider has been incredibly speedy and consistent throughout the entire week of racing and con- tinued to prove his talent as he kept the entire field behind him as they approached the white flag. Calavano had worked his way toward a 2.5 second gap as he crossed the finish line for the penultimate time, allowing him to sandbag the final lap and bring his Yamaha safely to the checkers. The teenager out of Orangevale, California put together another dominant performance from start to finish and wrapped up the championship in the process. Cole Tompkins and Shane Donlon rounded out the overall podium with 2nd and 3rd, respectively.
