>> Carson Mumford got out to an early lead on his Amsoil Factory Connection Honda backed 85cc machine ahead of the Husqvarna of Jace Kessler and the Suzuki of Crockett Myers. Mumford wasted no time in gapping the field as he immediately began to stretch a gap ahead of Kessler, cross- ing the stripe approximately 5 seconds ahead of the 2nd placed Husqvarna. As the little Californian on the Honda continued to sprint away at the front, Myers was able to close in on Kessler as he made it a tight battle for 2nd place. Mumford led over the finish line with almost a 7 second lead as he began his victory lap on his way to yet another cham- pionship. The battle behind him sort of fizzled out as Kessler was able to create just enough space between himself and the Suzuki in tow. Meanwhile, the battle for the overall shifted as Larry Reyes Jr. put a late pass on Branden Walther to move into 3rd place on the box. Mumford took another trip
to the podium as he secured the overall victory ahead of the Husqvarna rider of Jace Kessler in 2nd.
