>> Colin Allen grabbed the holeshot on his KTM ahead of the fellow orange riders of Marcelo Leodorico and Dakota Aldredge. Allen put the hammer down on the opening lap and built a comfortable gap for himself at the front of the field. Meanwhile, the battle for 2nd place was heating up
as Aldredge began to pile the pressure on Leodorico. They both powered up the hill to the finish line practically side by side as Alldredge hung out over his rear fender in an attempt to get as much traction as possible. Shortly thereafter, the Seven MX rider was able to secure 2nd place and hold the advantage. Alldredge showed some blazing speed once he had a clear track in front of him, but Allen had already done the damage with the gap that he accumulated early on. Allen will hope to transfer the momentum that he gained with the divisional race victory to the second moto and put himself in contention for the championship.
