out into the early lead as he rocketed out of the gate to an uncontested holeshot. Smith swiftly showed his speed and began to ride away from the rest of the pack by turning lap times miles ahead of anyone behind him, setting the fast- est lap time in the process. Meanwhile, Randall Myers was in 2nd as well as Reven Gordon. Almost immediately, Jett Burgess-Stevens moved his way into 3rd place after Gordon made a small mistake. Kyle Smith continued to lay down a fiery pace that built a gap at the front of the field, eventu-
ally bringing home the 65cc machine more than 10 seconds ahead of Myers in 2nd. The battle for 2nd was tight between the KTM of Myers and the Cobra of Burgess-Stevens, but no one was able to come close to challenging Smith in the lead.
