CAMERON BEAUBIER
VIRGINIA!

Raceway
“I DIDN’T THINK THERE WAS ANY HOPE IN CATCHIN ‘EM, BUT I JUST DUG DEEP AND FRICKIN’ RODE MY HEART OUT”
Beaubier worked his way into third position and laid down the fastest time of the race on the penultimate lap, immediately sliding up the inside of his teammate on the brakes into turn one, completing a championship caliber ride all the way from eighteenth to second. On Sunday, Beaubier was determined to grab an early lead and test his race pace from the front of the field as he put himself in second position on the opening lap. He was able to replicate his overtaking maneuver from the first race as he stuck his Yamaha up the inside of his teammate’s in turn one, but his time spent at the front of the field was short lived as he experienced another off track excursion at turn one. It didn’t have the same consequences as the first race, only dropping
him back to eighth position, but he still put himself at a major disadvantage. Beaubier was able to repeat his stellar performance from the first race and claw his way back up to the podium, finishing in third place as the result of some last lap heroics.
