The Californian maintained his position on the opening lap of the first race and took advantage of the early race carnage in
order to move his way up the order, promoting himself to tenth place by the fourth lap. It was a flashback to the second round of the series at Road Atlanta as he found himself in a spirited battle with the TOBC Racing Yamaha of Danny Eslick. The two of them rode within close contention of one another throughout the open- ing stages of the race, matching each other’s pace lap by lap. Hayden Gillim joined the battle a couple of laps in and made it a three-way fight for position as Prince was temporarily demoted to the back of the pack.
He kept his composure and waited patiently behind the duo, studying their lines and planning his attack
for later in the race. In the closing stages, the trio encountered a charging Cameron Beaubier with only five laps to go, therefore allowing Prince the opportu- nity to make a move on his distracted competitors. He worked his way past Gillim and Eslick one lap after another, advancing to seventh position, but the fight was far from over. Kyle Wyman made his way past Prince on the following lap, allowing Eslick back into contention, subsequently setting the duo up for a close finish at the line. Prince lost out to the TOBC Racing Yamaha in the last couple of laps and was forced to settle for ninth place, fifth overall in the Superstock 1000 class. The second race didn’t get off to the best start for the Californian as he ran off the track at turn one on the very second lap. He fell back to dead last position and clawed his way back to sixth place in
the Superstock 1000 class after passing four riders throughout the course of the race, but he gave up too much time in the early stages to compete for the results that he’s capable of producing.
