Michael Gilbert established himself as one of the perennial
contenders in the Superstock 600 class after finishing both
races at Road Atlanta on the podium, earning a third and
a second place finish, respectively. The Californian has his sights set on the 2017 Superstock 600 Championship and
is doing it all on his own in true privateer fashion aboard the Michael Gilbert Racing Yamaha. He managed to finish fourth place overall at VIR in the first race of the weekend last year, providing him with a bit of extra confidence heading into the second round of the Superstock 600 Championship.
