T H EF I R ST two rounds of the 2017 MotoAmeri- ca Championship have been a wild success if the incredibly close rac- ing has been any indication -- from the KTM RC390 Cup to the Motul Superbike class, pretty much every race has come down to the final lap. The new rule changes have undoubtedly played their part in the 2017 season thus far as the fight for the victory at the front of the pack has been closer than ever be- fore. Although Toni Elias has man- aged to secure three out of the first four victories of the season thus far in the Motul Superbike class, there have been multiple riders that have proven themselves capable of run- ning at the front on a regular basis, setting the fans up for tons of close racing at VIRginia International Raceway. Last year at the 2.25 mile circuit, both Superbike races came down to the last lap and it’s unlikely that 2017 will be any different con- sidering the nature of the champi-
