Benjamin Smith established himself as the top dog after the race weekend came to an end at Road
Atlanta. His skills and toughness were tested on multiple occasions by a couple of fierce rivals, but the Pennsylvania native deployed exceptional race craft and found a way to create a small gap towards the end of both races, collecting all fifty points. Although he gathered his first two wins in the MotoAmerica KTM RC390 Cup, it appeared as if it was just another day in the office for the youngster. His race craft and his composure in the lead were reminiscent of a veteran and he’s going to be tough to beat on a consistent basis as the season moves forward. Smith will have his hands full with loads of tough competition when the lights go out at VIR, but the rider out of Pennsylvania has proven that he can rise to the occasion, setting the fans up for what’s expected to be a barn burner.
