>> Zack Williams is a regular racer in the Pro motocross and Supercross series’. For the passed couple years, Zack has taken off some time from Supercross but is now back in action. So far in 2017, he has been eagerly searching for some good results. With tons of speed and talent, it always looks to be easy for Zack but bad luck and tough competition have kept him from showing his true potential. He knew he was ready to turn his season around as the practice sessions began in Detroit. He looked fast as always and was ready to do battle inside Ford Field. He lined up almost all the way on the inside for 250 Heat 2, but when the gate dropped, his rear tire spun just a little too much. Fortunately, he was able to hug the inside and make
a few passes. As the race came to a close, Zack was in 10th and getting very close to the 9th place rider. He made one last pass attempt in the final corner, but would unfortunately fall short. In the LCQ, Zack didn’t get the start he was looking for, but was determined to make up some ground. By lap three, he had made his way into qualifying position and was doing his best to hold off the hungry riders behind him. On the last lap, Zack was able to make up one more position as he secured his spot in the final. He was lined up almost all the way on the outside when the gate dropped for the Main. He got a great jump but had no choice but to go to the far outside. As he made his way around the first corner he was forced to come to a dead stop as a downed rider was blocking the way. He rejoined the race in around 16th place. In the next few laps, Zack was able to put together a charge as he made his way into 14th position. The rest of the race was pretty quiet for Zack as he only lost two positions by the time the checkered flag flew. Zack would take 16th place in Detroit.
