>> Adam Cianciarulo is one of the most naturally talented riders in the sport today. Overflowing with potential, the Florida kid has been working his Butt off to get back
to his dominating self from the amateur days. After bad luck and struggles with injury, Adam is slowly working his way back to the front of the angry 250 class pack. At the Season opener at Hangtown, Adam proved quickly that his two wins in Supercross over the last couple of months were not a fluke as he jumped out to the early lead. Eventually he would finish a very impressive 4th overall. Adam was eager to keep the series going when the day began at Glen Helen. He qualified with the fastest time in practice and was ready to get the racing underway. When the gate dropped for the
first 250 moto, Adam got a decent jump and was running inside the top ten around
the Talladega first corner. Then, as the pack made their way over the first hill, Adam lost traction just as he crested over the top, forcing him to drop his Kawasaki to the ground. Luckily, no collisions were made and he regained his composure as quickly as possible. Amazingly enough, Adam made it all the way back up to 21st by the time the green flag was waved. By lap three, he had pushed up into 17th place and was prying his way through the pack. Towards the end of lap five, he began to pressure Ferrandis for the 13th position. The two were going so fast they continued to pass other riders
as their battle ensued. Adam would eventually take the spot away which was now for the 11th position. He continued to push and made his way up to an incredible 7th place by the time the checkers waved. In the next moto, Adam got a much better jump off
the gate and put himself into 3rd place by the end of the first lap. This time, he kept to himself and did what he knew how to do. Clean consistent laps would pay off as he cruised to an impressive 3rd place finish, just a few seconds behind the points leader. His combined finishes would give him 4th place overall. With his consistent finishes so far this season, Adam is now sitting 2nd place in points.
