>> Fredrick Noren arrived at Glen Helen hoping to capitalize of his fifteenth place overall finish at the Hangtown season opener last weekend. The number 40 was one of the forty fastest shredders in the world lining up for what was bound to be an intense first moto for these 450 machines. All rider and mechanic discussions of strategies and line choices came to a halt as the thirty-second card rose. Noren came flying up the deep and long start- straight but found himself in sixteenth place as he entered the racetrack. Fredrick was only able to gain one position during the moto and the Preci- sion Sitework/ Tilube/ NorenMx rider finished the first moto in the fifteenth place spot. Noren needed to grab and hold onto a better start in the second moto if he wanted a chance at a better overall finish than he had at round one. It was time for some second moto redemption when the gates dropped. Fredrick Noren was in tenth off the start of moto two, a great place to be for the rider on the Honda. On an unpredictable and constantly changing terrain, Noren found himself in sixteenth by lap two. Fredrick Noren did not let lap two bring him down though; he dug deep and charged for the remainder of the race and finished the moto in the eleventh place spot. With fairly consis- tent 15-11 finishes for the day, Noren was able to leave Glen Helen with a fifteenth place overall finish. Hopefully Fredrick Noren can find and hold onto a great start in Colorado next weekend, I would love to see some top ten overalls from this talented rider out of Sweden.
